My story: I have a that's right, a 2 year old snowmobile Skidoo freeridethe second most expensive sled they built that year. I have 2, miles on the sled. I do not beat my machines and I maintain them well. I have had nothing but problems with this sled. It's spent more time in the dealership's garage than on the trail. I'll start off by saying this sled would be impossible to ride without the 2 year warranty. It has never run right. In the first season, they thought they fixed it by replacing one fuel injector and reflashing the computer.
Still didn't run right. The second season saw them replacing the other fuel injector at first, then the exhaust temperature sensor. While they were doing that, they noticed that the computer was not working correctly, so they replaced that.BRP supports its line of products with a dedicated parts, accessories and clothing business. It costs more because it's better and will fix your belt blower so you'll need to buy less belts. Yea, this one will fix it Man skidoo does have it figured out. These changes will provide better durability on units being ridden in specific snow deep powdered snow, deep heavy snow and have highly dynamic, intense, or energetic riding styles.
This belt can be used as a spare or immediately to start the season. Being a wear item, belt life is highly dependant on multiple factors : riding style RPM, speed, and engine load profileriding conditions altitude, snow, temperatureclutch calibration, etc.
For Mountain model riders, the average normal belt life is miles km. Warranty Bulletin has been issued to provide them assistance in resolving any issues. Investigation of sleds that experienced premature failures identified the issue was localized in very specific conditions altitude, snow conditions and riding styles and related to engine movement plus clutch clamping force; the new mounts along with an updated CVT calibration will resolve this. This is a product improvement being made to these models for additional CVT system cooling, and likely the only outward visual cue customers will see as they visit dealer showrooms.
Behind the left side panel there is also additional ducting and a new belt guard that directs air for cooling from the new intake vent to the secondary pulley. There have been some early comments on social media channels about the vent, but contrary to many of those comments, this is an intake cooling vent, not an exhaust vent.
